Anticipated Wage: $25.29/hr Job Posting: Open until position is filled Reporting to the Lead Pastor, this exciting part‑time contract (1 year) role will give leadership within a dynamic team environment, alongside the staff team and a Women’s Ministry committee, to encourage women in their relationship with Jesus by directing the ministry towards the goals of our Women’s Ministry as outlined in the Ministry and Services Plan. Key Responsibilities To promote, encourage, motivate, and educate the congregation in the area of Women’s Ministries. Recruit volunteer coordinator(s) and volunteer teams for the various Women’s Ministries events. Manage online engagement through the Women’s Ministry Social Platforms (Facebook) and working with the Director of Administration and Operations in keeping the Women’s Website page current and up to date. Work with the Lead Pastor to approve the expenditure of the budgeted funds (the annual budget has identified the funds that are available to the Committee). Schedule committee meetings, encourage committee members, and be actively involved to ensure that the duties and responsibilities are completed in a timely and effective manner. Write a report for the Annual General Meeting, outlining the activities undertaken in the previous year. Ministry Duties Provide opportunities for women of all ages to grow spiritually, and connect through special events and gatherings as outlined in the Ministry and Services Plan, which includes the following: To work with our Women’s Ministry committee and other volunteers who, together, provide various gatherings for women to grow spiritually by: Having 2‑3 Worship and Prayer Gatherings throughout the year Planning a Women’s Retreat Offering Women’s Bible Studies Provide opportunities for women to connect, develop a sense of community through shared interests and friendships, and to reach out to the broader community: Through Mom’s Morning , the Summit Drive Women’s Book Club , and Outdoors with Summit Participate in a group volunteer activity within the outreach/mission ministries currently supported by Summit Drive Church. Provide oversight to Summit’s Women’s Ministry Meal Train program by providing practical support to new moms/families with new additions through giving a gift card and providing up to 5 meals. Qualifications This candidate must be a mature follower of Jesus who is dedicated to the ministry of the local church, open and teachable, and must work well in a team setting. A bachelor’s degree, preferably in religious education/theology, is seen as an asset.
