Overview Join a locally owned and operated store to help deliver health, beauty and convenience services in your community, and keep the customer at the centre of everything you do. Why this role is important? The role supports the Front Store Manager in managing human, physical and financial resources of the store, ensuring store objectives are achieved by focusing on improving product flow from the backroom to the sales floor. Duties & Responsibilities Maintain store standards to optimize customer experience, drive traffic, and positively impact store profitability. Work with the management team to ensure store standards are in effect 100% of the time, including the backroom. Help manage labor scheduling in conjunction with the FSM, leveraging Workforce Management to maximize labor productivity. Ensure staffing levels are adequate to effectively operate the business. Comply with Human Resources standards. Help with hiring in conjunction with the FSM; hire or support hiring for all departments, excluding Pharmacy. Maintain wage administration within SLPH guidelines. Drive Blue Culture, engagement, and lead and motivate staff through Core Values. Qualifications Planning, judgement, and decision‑making skills. Planning and preparation for inventory management. Ability to use judgment and decision‑making skills to control expenses. Effective leadership and ongoing mentorship, ensuring development of all staff. Efficient time management skills. Able to prioritize activities quickly in response to changing initiatives. Effective organization and planning skills. Experience Previous retail management experience. Demonstrated ability to drive business, lead by example, and support corporate programs. Work effectively with management team. Superior interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills. Business and financial acumen. Relationship builder with key internal and external agencies.
