Role Inside Ideas Group is looking for a sports-obsessed, experienced and strategically-minded Community Manager/Social Media Manager to build engaged communities for major brands in North America. You will guide social strategy, create video content, turn cultural moments into shareable creative, and engage audiences in comments. You will build briefs for organic, paid and campaign creative focused on hockey, baseball and football, stay on top of trends, and report on social performance to brand teams. This role involves close collaboration with creative teams in a fast-paced environment and presenting work to clients and team members. You will have the opportunity to contribute strategically and creatively. The team is small but mighty and you may guide 1-2 junior teammates. Must be over 21 years old. What you will be doing Use social listening tools to report on a number of key brands Create creative briefs based on content performance, brand needs, and audience and cultural insights Ideate and create social content in collaboration with the creative team Present monthly and quarterly reports to clients and be the point of contact for data or social listening inquiries Create and provide ad hoc reports for key initiatives or competitors Engage fans with creative community management Research, create, and share POVs on updates to social media landscape and cultural trends Monitor brand reputation issues and create crisis reports for senior leadership What you need to be great in this role 4-6 years of experience in community management or a social media management role Excellent sports knowledge; experience in sports is a plus Experience with data visualization, social listening, and analytics tools (e.g., BrandWatch, Talkwalker, Unmetric, Khoros) Advanced experience with Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint Agency experience is required Ability to create impactful, data-driven reports with strong narrative, insights, and recommendations Experience conducting consumer insights research Comfort presenting high-energy reports to internal and external audiences Ability to balance multiple workstreams and meet reporting deadlines Proactive with an entrepreneurial mindset Salary range: CAD 72,250.00 to CAD 80,750.00; compensation varies by location, scope, experience, and qualifications Req ID: 15706 Our values Be Ambitious to succeed; Be Imaginative to push boundaries; Be Inspirational to do groundbreaking work; Be always learning and listening to understand; Be Results-focused to exceed expectations; Be actively pro-inclusive and anti-racist across our community, clients and creations.
