Overview Cosmo 1:1 is the premiere online learning platform that connects K-12 students with tutors from top US and Canadian universities for personalized lessons. Tutors set a flexible and consistent schedule. We teach math, ELA, and SAT classes with Cosmo-provided learning plans. This is a 1:1 tutoring opportunity in an after-school setting. You will meet with your students at a set time each week for 50-minute sessions. You should be reliable, well-prepared, on time, and maintain a welcoming and kind demeanor. The base rate for this position is 20 CAD plus additional incentives and bonuses. Responsibilities Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for students Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability Submit Class Feedback after each lesson Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting Communicate with Cosmo staff Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in math, ELA, or SAT prep Experience with K-12 ELA/Math standards Teaching license preferred but not required Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000 Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1 Available between 6-9 AM EST or 3-10 PM EST on Monday through Friday or weekends Minimum of 20 hours of availability per week Access to a private and quiet location Currently located in the United States or Canada Approachable, patient, adaptive, considerate, enthusiastic, and reliable Employment type Part-time Seniority level Entry level Job function Education Industries Primary and Secondary Education, Education, and E-Learning Providers #J-18808-Ljbffr
