We’re BioSyent and we are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our team in Ontario. The role focuses on supporting the medical and scientific needs of healthcare practitioners (HCPs) and advancing our prescription and natural health product portfolio in Canada.Overview The MSL is the field‑based advocate of BioSyent’s Medical Affairs team, driving the implementation of medical plans related primarily to key opinion leader (KOL) engagement and data dissemination. The role requires medical knowledge, business acumen, and the ability to provide credible, balanced scientific exchange with internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary liaison between HCPs and BioSyent Medical Affairs.Facilitate balanced scientific communications and present clinical information to diverse audiences.Develop and maintain peer‑to‑peer relationships with KOLs and other stakeholders according to strategic territory plans.Manage scientific partnerships and engage in scientific exchange with KOLs.Critically assess and interpret scientific data, translating complex information into tailored messages.Respond to clinical or scientific inquiries within defined timelines and industry standards.Support pharmacovigilance by reporting adverse events or product complaints per company procedures.Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams to align on clinical insights and strategies.Communicate key medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to the Medical Affairs team to inform strategy.Develop and deliver scientific materials such as slide decks and presentations for educational engagements.Keep up‑to‑date with relevant medical literature and apply critical appraisal skills.Organize, chair, and execute medical‑scientific events in collaboration with internal stakeholders.Build scientific advocacy and foster engagement around BioSyent’s products and therapeutic areas.Ensure prompt reporting (within 24 h) of complaints or adverse drug reactions.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Medical and Regulatory Affairs.QualificationsMaster’s degree in life sciences (minimum); doctoral degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field‑based MSL in the pharmaceutical industry.Prior experience with endocrinologists and/or obstetricians/gynecologists.Experience with pediatricians and general practitioners/family physicians is an asset.Knowledge of Canadian regulations governing medical information exchange with healthcare professionals.Strong understanding of the local healthcare system, clinical priorities, and operational processes.Experience delivering oral presentations to healthcare audiences (large and small).Skills & CompetenciesEffective oral presentation skills to healthcare audiences.Ability to identify, profile, and engage stakeholders.Strong understanding of Medical Affairs functions and alignment with business objectives.Strategic thinking with ability to translate objectives into actionable plans.Demonstrated collaboration with Sales and Marketing while maintaining scientific integrity.Self‑leadership, initiative, and minimal supervision.Exceptional written, verbal, and facilitation communication skills.Fluency in English; proficiency in French is an asset.Negotiation and influence skills; ability to build and maintain partnerships with thought leaders.Working ConditionsFull‑time, field‑based position with a home office setup and occasional in‑office presence.Primarily conducted during standard business hours; occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary.Territory defined by the hiring manager.Frequent travel required (up to 60 % of the time).Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $95,000 – $120,000 (based on experience and qualifications).Eligibility for additional forms of compensation, including participation in the Bonus Program.Medical and dental coverage.Life insurance.Long‑term disability insurance.Training and development opportunities.Employer‑matched Employee Share Purchase Plan.Application Process The application will include an online assessment to evaluate qualifications, personality traits, and workplace preferences.
