Position Overview Position Title: Agile Coach (24-Month Contract) Employment Type: Full-time Contract | Non-Union Salary range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Division: Digital and Innovation Reports To: Manager, Product Operations Location: Toronto, Yonge & Eglinton (On-site) TVO Media Education Group is a social impact organization devoted to inspiring learning that changes lives and enriches communities. It is a registered charity funded predominantly by the Province of Ontario and provides a range of digital learning resources across Ontario. Responsibilities Oversee and/or facilitate the day-to-day Agile ceremonies including Planning, Product Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review & Retrospective for Agile teams. Work with core team members to ensure that all elements of the sprints are planned and delivered in alignment with sprint and product goals. Continuously refine and improve the quality of stories ensuring business value and acceptance criteria are clearly articulated. Establish and identify metrics/KPIs for team transparency and continuous improvement. Provide coaching and support to the team on agile principles and values and encourage adoption of them. Work with peer Agile Coaches and Manager, Product Operations to continually advance and improve the agile practice at TVO. Expedite issue resolution, negotiate and influence people at all levels to ensure impediments are resolved in a timely manner. Qualifications Decisive and solution-focused leader with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role. Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban to deliver solutions; Scrum Master Certification is preferable. Experience with web, e‑Commerce, mobile technologies and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Highly detail-oriented and meticulous, ensuring processes are followed and issues proactively dealt with. Skilled negotiator and navigator, able to respond calmly and resourcefully to challenging situations, roadblocks, ambiguity, conflicts and change requests. Creative and process-oriented, finding pragmatic solutions to problems. Expertise working closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify challenges and influence decision making in support of product teams. Outstanding communicator in formal, informal, verbal and written contexts, able to influence and work with people at all levels. Drive to continuously improve, anticipating, understanding and responding to the needs of internal and external partners; committed to meeting or exceeding expectations.
