Curious what that looks like? Visit us at to get a glimpse! Reporting to the Director, you’ll collaborate with the entire team, helping projects flow smoothly from concept to completion. You’ll participate in activities that contribute to successful projects – budget and project planning and management, team and client meetings, writing and editorial reviews, and website and video creation. We’re a team who rolls up their sleeves to get things done, which brings a host of opportunities straight to your laptop! This posting is for an existing vacancy that we are actively seeking to fill. What you’d be responsible for: Write content on a range of pension, benefits, and total rewards‑related topics, simplifying complex concepts into compelling, employee/plan member‑friendly deliverables Rewrite and adapt materials for alternative formats (i.e., adapting booklets for web content) Update client website content (using WordPress) and build and develop high‑impact emails (using Constant Contact) Conduct thorough editing and proofreading of deliverables, with careful attention to detail and overall quality Review design layouts for formatting, visual appeal, and accuracy Coordinate with our print production coordinator, ensuring every project runs smoothly, on time, and is error‑free Ensure all materials are editorially and technically peer reviewed before being sent to clients Participate in the full project management cycle, including creating initial fee estimates for projects, building and managing project plans (using Asana), and ensuring quality and timely delivery of tasks from all contributing parties (writers, reviewers, designers, translators, etc.) Participate in the development of materials for employee/plan member research initiatives (e.g., surveys, executive interviews, focus groups) What we’re looking for: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a communication role College or university degree in Communication, English, or Journalism (or relevant experience) Excellent writing skills (and by “excellent” we mean “outstanding”) Strong editing and proofing skills Proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (we don’t mean GoogleDocs) Experience tailoring writing styles and content to match the needs of specific target audiences and comply with brand‑defined voices Willingness to continually learn about pensions, benefits, and other human resources programs, and stay current with industry trends/developments Self‑starter who enjoys taking initiative, owning tasks, and seeing them through to completion Ability to meet deadlines and adjust priorities quickly, while keeping everyone in the know Ability to work effectively and collegially with a range of stakeholders and teams (colleagues, other internal resources, clients, vendors, etc.) We’d also like to see: A creative spark and intellectual curiosity A desire to explore, evolve, and continuously improve the ways we connect with our audiences Extreme attention to detail within your own work and as you work collaboratively with others Proficiency in working independently and within a team environment Effective problem‑solving skills and an ability to think critically Accomplished at delivering on time, with quality, and within budget Skilled at maintaining focus while working on multiple client projects An ability to successfully reprioritize when competing tasks arise Other helpful (but not required) assets: Proficiency in French Experience with HR communication and/or pension/benefits writing Prior work with insurance companies/financial institutions/HR consulting firms/other professional services firms Experience with Adobe Creative suite, WordPress, Constant Contact, and Asana What we offer: Collaborative and engaging atmosphere Variety in work and ability to evolve and grow your career Working with colleagues across Canada and across multiple practice areas Opportunities to help build and evolve our practice Competitive compensation in terms of salary, bonus and paid vacation time (commensurate with experience) An entrepreneurial, collegial work environment Hybrid work environment and dress for your day approach (3 days in office minimum) At Eckler, we value diversity of all types.
