Senior Financial Analyst Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting, the Senior Financial Analyst is a key contributor in shaping the organization’s financial narrative. This role is instrumental in delivering high‑impact consolidated financial statements, executive presentations, and strategic reporting packages for senior leadership, shareholders, the Board of Directors, and lenders. Beyond core reporting responsibilities, the Senior Financial Analyst acts as a guardian of data integrity and accounting accuracy, documents and optimizes accounting policies and processes, supports internal and external audits, and participates in a range of ad‑hoc projects—from integrating financial reporting for newly acquired entities to partnering with the financing team on strategic initiatives. The position collaborates closely with shared services and finance operations teams and provides coaching to corporate accounting colleagues. Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory consolidated financial statements in accordance with ASPE. Build high‑quality, executive‑level financial packages, dashboards, and strategic reporting tools for senior leadership, shareholders, the Board of Directors, and lenders. Lead detailed variance and trend analyses, highlighting operational drivers, financial risks, and value‑creation opportunities. Partner with finance operations teams to identify cost optimization opportunities and improve financial performance visibility. Integrate financial information from entities operating outside the centralized ERP, while improving communication channels and data workflows. Recommend and implement process improvements that strengthen internal controls, streamline reporting cycles, and enhance accounting efficiency. Contribute to the documentation, refinement, and roll‑out of corporate accounting policies and procedures. Governance, Compliance & Audit Support Play a key role in year‑end audits, internal audits, and government compliance audits. Support corporate tax filings, insurance‑related requirements, and other regulatory compliance matters. Strategic & Ad Hoc Support Participate in corporate finance and ad hoc analytical projects, including entity integrations, system transitions, reporting modernization initiatives, and special analysis requests for senior leadership. Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to corporate accounting colleagues as needed. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with exposure to both public accounting and industry. Experience in large private or publicly traded organizations preferred. Strong knowledge of ASPE, consolidation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Bilingual in English and French. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft D365 Business (preferred). Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information for diverse stakeholders. Highly self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
