Your Mandate In collaboration with the Plant Manager to meet production deadlines, the Procurement and Purchasing Agent will be responsible for: Performing daily purchasing for the operation of our offices and manufacturing facilities Maintaining the inventory system on a daily basis Researching new products and new suppliers Negotiating prices, payment terms, and discounts with current and potential suppliers and subcontractors Reviewing incoming vendor contracts and ensuring they meet the company’s established parameters Reading incoming contracts and calculating the required quantities of fabric, hardware, and/or accessories needed for production, then placing the necessary orders Actively supporting each department in monitoring seasonal inventory Regularly reassessing minimum and maximum order quantities and defining required purchases Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, or any other equivalent field of study; 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement/purchasing; Excellent communication skills in both French and English, both written and spoken; Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively; Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make informed decisions; Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across multiple functions; Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite; Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in task execution; Excellent interpersonal skills that foster effective professional relationships and interactions.
