Position Title: Building Superintendent (Roaming) Salary & Benefits: $55,000-$60,000 Position Status: Existing vacancy Location: Ottawa, ON Work Model: Onsite / traveling between multiple sites in the city Our client is looking for a roaming Building Superintendent. This is a hands‑on role supporting a portfolio of residential properties, suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well‑functioning living environments. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and responsive, with a strong sense of ownership and a “tenant‑first” approach. Key Responsibilities Travel between multiple residential properties on a regular schedule to support ongoing building operations and upkeep Monitor and maintain garbage and recycling areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper waste management practices Respond promptly and professionally to tenant maintenance requests, ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction Conduct routine inspections of common areas and exterior spaces to ensure buildings remain clean, safe, and visually appealing Perform general maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, light carpentry, appliance troubleshooting, and simple electrical work Proactively identify maintenance concerns and elevate larger repair needs as required Maintain curb appeal and ensure properties consistently reflect a high standard of care and attention to detail What We’re Looking For Hands‑on, proactive individual with a strong sense of ownership and pride in maintaining residential properties Comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities across multiple sites Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to address maintenance issues efficiently Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively Professional and approachable when interacting with tenants Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation What Would Make You Stand Out Experience maintaining multiple residential properties or working in a mobile/roaming superintendent role Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive, preventative approach Excellent time management and organizational abilities across multiple locations An “owner’s mindset” with a commitment to delivering a positive tenant experience The posted salary range reflects expected compensation for this role in accordance with Ontario pay transparency requirements.
