Description Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be ultimately responsible for implementing and seeing through sales strategies ensuring the negotiated segments meet their financial goals. What You’ll Do Demonstrate strong negotiation skills in working out contractual agreements with potential clients, quote and negotiate prices within established parameters. Take a proactive approach to business development through account management of lost business accounts, prospecting within target market segments and referrals. Display effective time management skills by promptly replying to incoming inquiries, sending proposals, contracts and other sales correspondence as needed by clients. Research markets to identify potential opportunities of business and increase market share. Analyze available reports, trends, competitive knowledge to develop tactics to maximize occupancy. Maintain personal contact with “top” producing customer accounts (group or corporate) through regular sales calls to promote excellent communication and client feedback. Complete all Corporate RFPs via Lanyon and/or corporate rate letters. Conduct site inspections and client visits, host and participate in familiarization trips, attend industry trade shows and assigned association memberships. Attend hotel meetings when needed (revenue and operations meetings). Create and submit monthly sales reports and monthly updates to the Sales Action Plan. Enter daily activities in Opera PMS in accordance with Germain Hotel standards. Represent the hotel to guests and the general public in such a way as to enhance the quality, image and reputation of the property. What You Will Bring 3 to 5 years as Sales Manager. University degree in a related field. Ability to use Microsoft applications and hotel technologies (ex: Opera). Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
