Key Responsibilities Develop new interiors components and sub-assemblies, ensuring cost optimization and value creation throughout the development cycle. Work closely with teams across the business (designers, procurement, project managers) to evaluate supplier proposals and drive cost-effective solutions through design‑to‑cost (DTC) activities. Analyze costs during tender and project phases; contribute to transversal activities such as database creation and cost mindset development within the team. Perform costing to assess impacts on products and improve cost maturity. Analyze supplier offers and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities. Participate in design reviews and propose cost optimization strategies. Build supplier cost breakdowns and conduct costing simulations. Negotiate supplier proposals together with sourcing/procurement colleagues to optimize overall value. Evaluate cost impacts of modifications and focus on cost optimization workshops. Use cost breakdown databases for train interiors. Contribute to the development of a cost‑focused mindset with peers. Qualifications Engineering or related degree combined with relevant experience. 2 to 5 years of pertinent experience. Familiar with CATIA V5. Knowledge of manufacturing processes desirable. Project and risk management knowledge. Costing knowledge (estimation, cost breakdowns, financial analysis, should cost). Strong analytical skills, organized, rigorous, and proactive. Fluent in English; French considered an asset. Influences change management on product and processes. Ability to facilitate multi‑functional teams and effectively challenge others.
