Our client is growing! This large service based organization is adding to their Risk team with an Associate Director, Corporate and Construction Insurance. If you have a background in Risk and specifically managing the insurance requirements of an organization including large scale projects and capital, this may be the role for you! Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and manage corporate and capital insurance programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk appetite, capital delivery objectives, and regulatory requirements. Lead the placement, renewal, and governance of complex insurance portfolios, including corporate insurance programs and major capital projects. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and project teams, providing expert guidance on insurance strategy, contractual risk transfer, claims exposure, and market conditions. Oversee claims and litigation management activities, partnering with Legal, external counsel, brokers, and insurers to support timely resolution, optimal recovery, and organizational resilience. Manage relationships with external brokers, insurers, adjusters, and consultants to optimize coverage, cost, and program effectiveness across a dynamic insurance market. Ensure strong governance, documentation, and audit-ready practices across all insurance programs, policies, and contractual requirements. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, professional growth, and strong stakeholder partnership. Prepare clear, concise, and decision-ready materials for senior leadership and committees, translating complex insurance and risk information into actionable insights. Requirements 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate insurance, risk management, or claims management, ideally within complex, regulated, or capital-intensive environments. Demonstrated experience managing large, multi-line insurance portfolios, including construction or capital project exposures (e.g., OCIP or similar programs). Strong knowledge of property, casualty, liability, and project-specific insurance products, claims processes, and risk transfer mechanisms. Proven ability to provide strategic, practical advice to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders on insurance and risk matters. Experience leading people, programs, or vendor relationships, with a collaborative and outcomes-focused leadership style. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, executive-level insights. A university degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field, supported by a professional designation such as CIP, FCIP, CRM, or ARM (or equivalent).
