What Are We Looking for As a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you are responsible for precise and prompt execution of payroll, alongside the thorough administration of employee benefits. Your responsibilities are central to maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and offering knowledgeable support to team members on questions related to payroll and benefits. Your work ensures that our studio meets its commitments to employee compensation and benefits with integrity and accuracy. What You Will Do Process accurate bi‑weekly full‑cycle payroll and benefits reconciliation. Process employee lifecycle changes (new hires, promotions, role changes, and leaves) across payroll, HRIS, and benefits systems. Maintain accurate payroll records, including overtime, retroactive adjustments, and other special payments. Process year‑end payroll activities, including reconciliation and preparation of T4s, T2200s and Year‑End Adjustments. Administer group benefits and RRSP programs, including enrolments, changes, terminations, and remittances. Track and reconcile PTO accruals in accordance with company policies. Post payroll journal entries and complete month‑end payroll reconciliations. Prepare and issue Records of Employment (ROEs) and process WSIB reconciliations and remittances. What You Will Bring A bachelor’s degree or equivalent post‑secondary education in Human Resources or Accounting, and PCP designation (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) is an asset. 3-5 years’ experience in full cycle payroll, preferably within a professional services environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a standalone payroll role. Strong critical thinking skills and comfortable with ambiguity. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and communicate effectively. Previous experience with Dayforce and Benefit administrators like RBC, Manulife, is an asset. Willingness to be in studio for 4 days a week. What We Will Provide The expected gross annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000. Final compensation is determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, we offer the following benefits: Transparent Salary Bands.
