Reporting to the Vice President, Shared Services, the Manager, Business Systems and Innovation supports system implementation, reporting improvement, AI adoption, process standardization, and technology enablement across Hall Group, bridging business users, operational teams, IT, vendors, consultants, and senior leaders.Core Responsibilities Business Systems and Technology EnablementSupport planning, implementation, and improvement of key business systems across Hall Group.Coordinate system-related initiatives involving Shared Services, operations, finance, safety, training, project controls, and IT.Translate business needs into practical system requirements, workflows, reporting improvements, or technology solutions.Ensure changes are user‑friendly and aligned with how teams work.Evaluate new technology opportunities based on business value, ease of adoption, scalability, and operational fit.Data, Reporting, and Analytics SupportSupport enterprise data and reporting initiatives.Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and system alignment across business functions.Define data requirements, source system logic, reporting needs, and business rules.Develop dashboards, reports, and reporting processes that improve visibility into operational, financial, workforce, safety, training, and project performance.Coordinate data integration and reporting initiatives with internal teams and external partners.Promote consistent data ownership, field definitions, naming standards, and reporting practices.AI, Innovation, and Continuous ImprovementSupport identification, testing, and adoption of practical AI and technology solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual work.Evaluate use cases for AI, automation, reporting, and digital tools across operations.Coordinate pilot projects, including scope definition, success measures, user feedback, rollout planning, and post‑launch review.Identify high‑value opportunities for automation, AI, and digital tools that reduce manual work and improve consistency.Support construction technology initiatives that align with operational needs and business priorities.Build internal comfort and capability with new tools through training, documentation, and user support.System Implementation and Change ManagementSupport implementation projects from planning through rollout, training, adoption, and stabilization.Coordinate project tasks, timelines, risks, decisions, and follow‑ups with internal and external stakeholders.Assist with testing, issue tracking, user acceptance, documentation, and launch readiness.Develop clear process documentation, user guides, quick reference materials, and training supports.Monitor adoption after implementation and recommend improvements where processes or systems are not working as intended.Ensure system changes are communicated clearly and supported properly across affected teams.Project Controls and Operational SupportProvide leadership oversight to the Project Controls team.Support alignment between Project Controls, operations, finance, and reporting processes.Strengthen consistency in project data, job costing visibility, scheduling support, dispatch and trucking information, and operational reporting.Ensure project‑related reporting is practical, reliable, and useful for project teams and leadership.Support continued development of Project Controls processes, standards, tools, and reporting practices.IT Coordination and Vendor ManagementCoordinate with IT on system access, infrastructure dependencies, cybersecurity considerations, user support requirements, and technical requirements.Support vendor and consultant coordination, including meeting preparation, action tracking, issue follow‑up, and performance visibility.Maintain clear communication between business users, technical teams, and external partners.Escalate risks, system issues, adoption barriers, and decision points to the appropriate leaders.Qualifications6 to 10 years of progressive experience in business systems, data and reporting, technology implementation, process improvement, project controls, operations support, or digital transformation.Experience in construction, civil infrastructure, engineering, equipment, manufacturing, logistics, or another project‑based operational environment is strongly preferred.Post‑secondary education in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Experience with ERP, HRIS, LMS, project management systems, reporting tools, field systems, construction technology platforms, Power BI, automation, AI use cases, or system integrations is considered an asset.Experience coordinating vendors, consultants, technical teams, business users, and internal stakeholders is preferred.Previous experience leading staff, coordinating team priorities, or supporting employee development is considered an asset.Technical SkillsTranslate business needs into practical system requirements, workflows, reports, dashboards, documentation, and implementation plans.Strong understanding of business systems, data quality, reporting logic, process improvement, and technology adoption.Strong documentation skills, including process maps, SOPs, user guides, quick reference materials, testing notes, training materials, and rollout documentation.Support system testing, user acceptance testing, issue tracking, launch readiness, adoption monitoring, and post‑implementation improvement.Strong project coordination skills, including tracking tasks, timelines, risks, decisions, dependencies, user feedback, and follow‑up actions.Assess whether a technology solution is practical, scalable, user‑friendly, and likely to be adopted.Interpersonal SkillsStrong communicator who can explain systems, data, and technology concepts to
