This role owns the enterprise standards, governance framework, performance assurance, and continuous improvement of physical security systems across Nutrien, while execution, implementation, and operational support are delivered in partnership with Nutrien IT and approved executing partners within the business segments. The Manager acts as the trusted advisor and global subject matter expert, ensuring physical security systems are designed, implemented, and operated in alignment with approved standards and that execution quality, service levels, and accountabilities are consistently met across the organization.What You’ll DoServe as the global functional owner for Nutrien’s Physical Security Systems programAccountable for security architecture, standards, and functional designDefine clear accountabilities and performance expectations for executing partners and business segments within a matrix environmentEnsure alignment of physical security systems governance with Global Security strategy, risk priorities, and enterprise policiesDevelop and maintain measurable performance metrics to assess effective execution of physical security standards across business segments and sitesMonitor and assess service performance, system health, and compliance with approved standardsProvide assurance to Global Security leadership on the effectiveness, maturity, and consistency of physical security systems deploymentLead continuous improvement activities, including standards updates informed by lessons learned, incidents, audits, and emerging risksWork closely with Nutrien IT as the primary delivery partner to ensure execution aligns with approved security governance and standardsMaintain strong relationships with business units, sites, and approved service providers to support consistent outcomesProvide functional guidance and influence without direct operational control, consistent with a functional matrix operating modelProvide security architecture requirements and functional input to inform IT‑owned lifecycle planning, upgrades, and technology roadmapsParticipate in joint evaluation and testing of new or materially changed security technologies with IT, with accountability for security validation and acceptanceProvide subject matter expertise across physical security technologies, including but not limited to:CCTV / Video Management SystemsAccess control systemsIntrusion and alarm systemsSecurity system design and integrationPhysical security systems standards and architectureOther physical security‑related technologies as requiredSupport business segments and sites with planning, design, and prioritization of security system enhancementsAssist sites in developing structured roadmaps for physical security capability improvementDevelop and facilitate training and awareness related to physical security systems, standards, and governanceProvide physical security systems support to Nutrien corporate office locations as requiredEnsure physical security systems meet all applicable regulatory requirementsEnsure physical security systems support broader corporate objectives related to safety, risk management, and resilienceWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experienceMinimum 8 years’ experience in corporate physical securityASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification preferredStrong ability to operate in a functional matrix organization, influencing outcomes without direct line authorityProven capability to set standards, define governance, and measure performance across distributed environmentsExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills at all organizational levelsAbility to evaluate risk, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing operational and threat environmentsStrong collaboration skills across security, IT, operations, and external partnersCorporate Security, Professional Security, or similar backgroundMinimum of 8 years’ experience implementing security programs in complex environmentsStrong experience in physical security systems and technologyDemonstrated experience developing and implementing security standards and proceduresExperience delivering training and guidance to diverse audiencesProject management and people leadership experienceExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsAbility to respond to incidents and emergencies during and outside normal business hours as requiredNutrien is an equal opportunity employer.
