Based in Toronto, this position is a strategic and client-facing investor relations and advisory role, leveraging an equity research or similar background to service Oak Hill Financial’s growing client base. Job Description The Vice President – Equity Research Analyst is a client-facing position responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Oak Hill investor relations clients. The role will entail delivering best-in‑class client service for companies across an array of industries (mining, industrials, technology, etc.). This includes helping companies execute on their strategic IR objectives, maintaining a consistent dialogue with companies with respect to their IR programs and investor interest, and working with Oak Hill’s sales desk to support the investor marketing of these companies. The role will be based in‑office in Toronto and offers significant exposure to Oak Hill’s senior leadership, C‑suite executives across various companies and industries, and prominent capital markets stakeholders. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Client Relationship Management Own a defined portfolio of Oak Hill investor relations and corporate advisory clients and act as the primary point of contact for these clients throughout their engagement with Oak Hill Financial, consistently anticipating client needs and responding promptly to time‑sensitive requests; Maintain an ongoing dialogue with key client contacts with respect to the progress of the company’s engagement with Oak Hill, prepare tailored reporting for clients summarizing investor activity, feedback, and opportunities, and translate feedback into actionable IR program recommendations; Draft, review, and provide feedback on client’s key investor materials (investor decks, fact sheets, press releases, websites, etc.); Client Coverage & Research Serve as the internal subject matter expert for your client portfolio as well as the liaison between Oak Hill’s sales desk and these clients; Clearly and effectively articulate the investment merits of these clients both verbally and through internal coverage notes, and ensure relevant internal groups are kept abreast of the latest company developments as well as relevant macroeconomic factors, competitive dynamics, financial performance metrics, growth opportunities, valuation metrics, etc.; Oversee the planning and organization of various events, including investor roadshows and webinars, and host and participate in investor calls with these companies; Help maintain Oak Hill’s internal knowledge base for these clients, including relevant marketing materials, analyst reports, etc.; Business Development Support business development initiatives and other opportunities to contribute to the overall growth of Oak Hill Financial, including identifying and engaging with new prospective clients, conducting due diligence on prospective clients, and participating in business development calls with prospective clients; Other ad hoc projects, as required. Qualifications Minimum of 5‑7 years of relevant experience, including in equity research or a related field. Completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a preferred focus on finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline. Strong understanding of finance, accounting, valuation, and able to apply these concepts across a range of industries. Strong oral and written communication skills.
