WPES issues and programming are complex and constantly changing due to changes to provincial bargaining agreements, re‑alignment of services and client care groups, the changing landscape of work (demographics, increasing retirements, changing client needs). The Associate must have a broad understanding and sound knowledge of the various types of health‑care careers to effectively coordinate and plan programming and events and understand client needs. Knowledge of health service delivery in the province is also required so that ongoing issues can be incorporated into planning. The Associate collaborates with the Specialists on the team to provide support for daily WPES issues/challenges, assist with recruitment and retention programming and events.
