Job Summary TELUS Health Retirement Consulting is looking for a Defined Benefits (DB) Administration Specialist. The role focuses on administering DB pension plans, managing client relationships, ensuring compliance with pension legislation, and leading project and talent initiatives. Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with client contacts. Provide client information on administrative issues and legislative requirements. Coordinate DB administration services including web tools and call‑center resources. Collaborate with clients to resolve administrative issues and drive new business opportunities. Participate in governance initiatives, service‑review meetings, and reporting. Ensure the team delivers high‑quality service to clients. Review work such as benefit calculations, annual statements, and reports for compliance. Lead and present process‑improvement initiatives and internal reviews. Plan and manage deliverables across multiple client teams. Assign appropriate resources to client responsibilities. Lead special projects as required. Act as a team leader: conduct annual performance reviews, mentor team members, collaborate on engagement initiatives, assist recruitment, and conduct training sessions. Qualifications 10+ years of DB pension administration experience or equivalent certifications, training, or progressive career development. Post‑secondary education in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional certifications such as CEBS or PPAC. Strong knowledge of provincial pension and tax legislation in your region. Excellent organizational and project‑management skills. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Customer‑focused mindset with professional acumen. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and pension‑administration software. Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities. Detail‑oriented approach with strong quality‑assurance practices. Valued Assets CEBS or PPAC designation. Bilingualism (English and French). Experience with process‑improvement or change‑management initiatives. Background in mentoring or developing team members. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $90,000 – $120,000 CAD annual.
