Data Acquisition Engineer (Windsor, Ontario) Hourly pay range: $34.00 – $36.80. May be asked to travel to the USA for meetings. Ability to qualify for US TN visa. Hybrid. RESPONSIBILITIES Setting up and conducting data acquisition using various data acquisition systems, coordinating test specimen build, setting up data acquisition systems, data processing, and communicating with stakeholders. Detailed understanding of the data acquisition systems and various transducers used and how they interact as well as CAN communication. The ability to operate and conduct data acquisition at company grounds. Process and detail-oriented with proven ability to lead projects from start to finish with minimal guidance. Good communication and leadership skills required to coordinate and instruct bargaining unit mechanics in performing vehicle instrumentation, part strain gauging and part changes. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university. Experience with data acquisition equipment using various transducers including wheel force transducers, accelerometers, load cells and strain gages. Understanding of damage severity analysis and stress‑life/load‑life calculations; NCode, MTS RPC Pro and FlexTest experience preferred. Competent with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VBA. Strong time management, leadership, planning and follow‑up skills. Excellent written and oral skills. Minimum 2–5 years of engineering experience within a testing environment in the automotive industry. Will consider new graduates with related co‑op experience. Ability to support working days as well as overtime during the week and weekends on occasion. Experience working in a unionized environment. Required to drive a company car; valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Required to travel domestically and internationally 10–20%. Ability to qualify for US TN visa or similar.
