Tasks & Responsibilities Create and organize multiple client engagement teams for Canadian corporate tax matters, including tax planning, minimization strategies, and compliance Deliver technical expertise related to complex tax and assurance issues through high-quality deliverables Supervise project financials including budgets, WIP, billing, collections, and variance recognition Prepare transactional documentation and provide advisory support to clients Liaise with the CRA and provincial ministries on client tax matters Communicate with team members and clients to address corporate tax queries Analyze discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries and reports Prepare and execute election forms Assess client issues arising from compliance or tax planning activities Assist with the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals tailored to client needs Participate in pre-engagement meetings to define responsibilities, risk areas, materiality, and timelines Identify methods to maximize client relationships and service impact Review tax returns and team deliverables to ensure high-quality control Monitor and adjust project timelines against defined targets Represent the firm in local professional, business, and community networks Contribute to the development of new processes and innovative tax approaches Coach, mentor, and train junior team members Perform other related accounting duties as required Skills & Qualifications Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation completed Completion of Level 1 & 2 of the In-Depth Tax Program 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in public accounting Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience in Canadian Tax Solid understanding of business, accounting, and practice development principles Expertise in domestic tax compliance and tax reorganizations Proficiency in Caseware, Profile, QuickBooks, and Simply Accounting High computer literacy, including strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Some travel may be required Job Type Full-Time, Permanent #J-18808-Ljbffr
