This is an early intermediate role for someone with 3‑5 years’ experience. You must be able to work independently as well as with a team in a fast‑paced environment and adapt quickly to new situations or tasks. A strong attention to detail, keen analytical skills and genuine curiosity will help you thrive. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multi‑task are a requirement.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, regression, acceptance, and patch tests to ensure product quality and release readinessPerform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testingIdentify, isolate, document, and track defects through resolution using defect tracking toolsActively participate in Agile (planning, stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives) and collaborate closely with developers and product teamsAnalyze product features, requirements, and workflows to identify risk areas and potential user issuesValidate user interfaces for consistency, usability, and functional accuracyUse SQL scripts to validate data and support testing across databasesContribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologiesProvide clear, timely, and constructive communication on testing status, risks, and outcomesSupport release activities by validating fixes and ensuring regression coverage is completeEducation and ExperienceDegree or diploma in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalentExperience with or exposure to geoscience software is an assetExperience with automated testing frameworks and test scripting is a strong assetExperience in an Agile environment is an assetSkills and QualificationsExceptional written and oral communication skills promoting clarity and understanding.
