As a contributor to the success of AMD’s products, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry‑leading technologies to market.The Person We are seeking someone who is passionate about software development at AMD, creative in pushing boundaries for tool development. The candidate must be agile, able to learn, understand and write complex code within a fast‑paced environment. The candidate is a strong communicator and can convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with profiling tools teams and open source code baseCommunicate and collaborate across many teams to coordinate feature across profiling tools stackDesign, code, test and integrate features, enhancements and bug fixes into the profiling tools stackDefine and implement abstraction layers for data handlingRefactor code bases to improve modularity and interoperabilityImplement scalable data transfer solutions for multi‑node distributed environmentsExperience with production software quality assurance practices, methodologies, and proceduresExcellent communication skills and experience working with global teamsAble to adapt quickly to new code bases and contribute production level software to the profiling toolsPreferred ExperienceAdvanced C++ and Python development backgroundExperience in designing APIs and integrating them with large‑scale applicationsExperience with multi‑threaded asynchronous codes, networking, client‑server, and distributed modelsProficiency in using AI tools for enhanced productivity in code developmentExperience with databasesExperience with Linux, GitHub, Docker development environmentEffective communication and problem‑solving skillsFamiliarity with performance analysis tools and methods, is a plusAcademic CredentialsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalentAdditional Information This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee‑based recruitment services.
