EC/Payroll Tester We are hiring for EC/Payroll Tester for our client based out in Ottawa, ON. Title: EC/Payroll Tester Duration: 6 Months Responsibilities Perform end-to-end testing of Employee Central and Payroll solutions, including unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Execute hands‑on testing of SAP HR Payroll, including payroll runs, retro calculations, off‑cycle payroll, and year‑end processes. Design, prepare, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements. Validate payroll calculations, earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, and statutory reporting. Test integrations between EC, SAP HR Payroll, and third‑party systems (e.g., time management, benefits, finance). Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools; work closely with developers and functional consultants to resolve issues. Support data validation, reconciliation, and parallel payroll testing. Ensure compliance with country‑specific payroll and statutory requirements. Participate in requirement reviews and provide testability feedback early in the project lifecycle. Required Skills & Experience Hands‑on testing experience with SAP HR Payroll (mandatory). Experience testing Employee Central (EC) and payroll‑related processes. Strong understanding of payroll concepts, including gross‑to‑net, retro payroll, taxes, and statutory deductions. Experience with payroll testing methodologies, including parallel payroll testing. Ability to analyze functional specifications and translate them into effective test cases. Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., ALM, Jira, Azure DevOps). Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP SuccessFactors EC Payroll or SAP HCM Payroll. Knowledge of country‑specific payroll regulations (one or more countries preferred). ISTQB or similar testing certification. Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments. Thank you.
