What will you do? Oversee the receipt, inspection, sorting, and processing of waste materials, ensuring efficient and compliant operations. Responsible for the operations of equipment and tools at a receiving facility. Inspect and process various types of waste materials, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Manage product processing and storage stages. Continuously look for ways to improve product management at the facility. Utilize resources to fulfill contract compliance and achieve high customer satisfaction. Ensure daily goals are met through a hands‑on approach in employee management. Continually review operations to ensure optimal efficiency and resource allocation. Work closely with operational stakeholders to meet daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and preventative maintenance goals. Grow profitability by executing the company’s business plans and strategies. Hold P&L responsibility, including development and achievement of budgetary goals to ensure long‑term viability. Collaborate and foster productive relationships with local union representatives. Maintain a culture of safety by implementing and monitoring a safety management program. Understand and work within Ministry of Environment guidelines and the Environmental Compliance Approval. What will you bring? Engineering/Science degree or post‑secondary education in a related field such as business management, operations management, or environmental science. 2‑5 years of management experience in a waste transfer/processing facility is an asset. Hands‑on experience working in a unionized environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent inventory management and record‑keeping skills. A strong work ethic and proven people‑management skills. Strong attention to detail and a drive for continual improvement. Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workload. Strong project management skills. Track record of improving performance in a brewery, winery, distillery, or other liquid‑processing facility is preferred. Experience with analytical tools and software for liquid quality is preferred. Experience with quality control systems.
