Job Purpose GSK is looking to hire a Medical Education manager to join our Medical Affairs Team. This role is a hybrid model and reports directly to the Medical Education Lead. Responsibilities Develop and implement an innovative and strategic medical education plan aligned with asset medical strategy, including clear learning objectives to address healthcare gaps and meet patient and customer needs. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver strategic, high-quality educational programs and learning initiatives. Lead the development of educational materials for congresses and medical education programs in partnership with cross‑functional teams. Plan, organize, and execute medical education initiatives including speaker programs, symposia, conferences, and digital learning solutions. Ensure effective dissemination of educational content through a tailored omnichannel approach, working closely with medical and commercial teams. Support field teams in the execution of in‑field medical education activities, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external requirements. Manage third‑party vendors and agencies to ensure timely, on‑budget, and compliant delivery of programs. Monitor scientific literature, clinical data, and external trends to inform education strategies and provide actionable insights to brand and field teams. Ensure all educational programs meet accreditation standards and comply with IMC and GSK internal policies. Manage the medical education budget, including tracking expenses, accruals, and forecasting to maximize impact. Contribute to broader initiatives such as brand planning and provide expertise on educational strategy and execution. Attend relevant national and regional conferences to stay current with therapeutic area advancements and identify opportunities. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BSc required; MSc preferred). Minimum 3+ years of experience in Medical Education or Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry. Strong experience managing complex projects and collaborating cross‑functionally. Demonstrated experience working with medical education agencies, accrediting bodies, and healthcare professional organizations. In‑depth knowledge of IMC code and GSK internal compliance policies and procedures. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and educational program design. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, PharmD, MD, or specialization in Instructional Design or Learning Experience Design). Experience in therapeutic areas such as Oncology or other specialty care areas. Proven ability to generate insights through data analysis and cross‑functional collaboration to enhance education strategy. Experience developing omnichannel educational approaches and scientific engagement tools. Strong vendor and budget management experience. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Location and Working Style Mississauga, Canada. The position is hybrid, combining remote work with regular time in the office and travel to events as required.
