Role Summary The Solution Engineer works across Salesforce’s enterprise, commercial, or SMB segments to identify, design, and demonstrate tailored solutions that meet customer business objectives. Responsibilities Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to shape technology solutions that align with complex business goals. Act as a trusted advisor, conducting business development, operations, IT strategy, and product demonstrations to improve customer performance. Analyze ambiguous, sophisticated business problems; define the problem, develop innovative solutions, and recommend actionable next steps. Guide client decision‑making by evaluating solution options, driving consensus, and establishing governance frameworks. Demonstrate connected experiences through software demos and rapid prototypes. Assist the customer, Account Executive, and Professional Services in discovery, analysis, and recommendation of integrated solutions, using live product demonstrations to validate outcomes. Discover customer needs and position the most appropriate Salesforce solution to achieve objectives. Build and present customized solution demos tailored to multiple customer personas. Show deep understanding of the customer’s architecture as it relates to Salesforce solutions. Lead cross‑functional solution guides aligned to opportunity strategy. Develop and communicate the customer experience story with Salesforce technologies. Participate in product, sales, and procedural training and certifications essential for success. Travel as required by territory alignment and region. Required Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent; evaluated based on core competencies. Knowledge of related applications, relational database, and web technology. Strong oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively to solve technical problems in varied environments. Minimum 2 years of professional experience. Travel flexibility based on territory alignment. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce certifications. Previous experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM company or similar technology.
