Overview On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a visionary yet grounded Salesforce Technical Architect to serve as the primary technical authority for a major 3-year strategic transformation project focused on re-architecting the graduate student experience across a large, complex institution. This high-visibility role will play a pivotal part in defining and building a scalable, multi-cloud Salesforce ecosystem (including Education Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data 360). While the initial engagement is a 3-year term, there is a strong potential for conversion to a permanent ongoing role as the candidate demonstrates impact and the platform expands institution-wide. This is a hybrid opportunity, based out of Vancouver. Responsibilities Act as the senior technical authority and “Architect-Governor,” translating enterprise architecture standards into detailed technical designs and solutions. Govern and hold external implementation partners accountable for technical integrity, ROI, and long-term platform sustainability. Architect a robust Salesforce Data 360 foundation to enable a comprehensive Student 360 view. Design and manage complex integrations between multiple Salesforce instances and other enterprise systems. Provide strategic leadership in building a scalable multi-cloud ecosystem supporting Education, Experience, Marketing, and Data capabilities. Ensure the platform remains sustainable, cost-effective, and aligned with long-term institutional goals. Core Requirements Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Required Expert-level knowledge of OmniStudio, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow Strong experience in architecting and governing large-scale Salesforce implementations Demonstrated ability to translate high-level enterprise architecture into practical, detailed technical designs Deep understanding of Salesforce Data architecture and complex system integrations Experience working in Higher Education or complex federated/public sector environments is highly preferred Proven track record in large-scale digital transformation initiatives What We’re Looking For We are prioritizing candidates who combine deep technical expertise with strategic vision and strong governance capabilities. Ideal candidates will have successfully led or governed complex, multi-year Salesforce programs in large, matrixed organizations — particularly within Higher Education or the Public Sector.
