Job Description Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex mission systems for space within Honeywell Aerospace. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineers. This leadership will support a team that specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of novel, state-of-the-art optical instruments for military, space, and commercial applications, including Earth observation, atmospheric monitoring, space situational awareness, space science, and optical communications. You will leverage your technical experience and skills to guide your team in the investigation and solution of challenging technical problems. You will use your leadership skills to motivate teams that are designing new or modifying existing products, parts, and processes. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will balance team workload and drive exceptional team performance with high impact for the business. Responsibilities People management (leadership, delegation, priorities, oversight) Peer management (leadership, peer-to-peer-to-GM) Effective communications (MOS up/peer/down, effective time management) Budget development & management of mission systems engineering projects (financial, timeline, accountability) Qualifications The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance. The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000-200,000 in Ontario. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. This position is incentive plan eligible. This position is for a current vacancy. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Applied Science from an accredited institution. Minimum 10 years of engineering experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in team leadership. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of mission systems engineering processes, including requirements management, space agency (NASA, CSA, ESA, etc.) standards and mission phases. Experience in evaluating commercial and defense space mission proposals, including RFPs and RFIs. Understanding of satellite architecture and payload systems. Be strategic to help anticipate problems, recognize and eliminate barriers Lead and maintain an optimized team for specific business programs/offerings Drive accountability and results within the team Work cross-functionally with Sales, Ops, and our global support teams Experience working directly with customers, developing solutions and systems architecture and roadmaps Strong process knowledge in several business/ functional areas Creative and collaborative problem-solving skills Previous years of space hardware development experience, including mechanical, electrical, and software development Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills Experience with project scheduling tools Very knowledgeable in the areas of cost, schedule, and resource management preferred Business acumen with a knowledge of current and emerging practices New Product Introduction (HW/SW product development) Accommodation is available on request for applicants with disabilities under the Ontario Human Rights Code. #J-18808-Ljbffr
