Edmonton Overview Scott Builders Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead day‑to‑day site operations on commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing field execution, coordinating trades and contractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project requirements. Benefits and Compensation Competitive salary based on experience Health and dental benefits Employee ownership opportunities Professional development and career growth opportunities Collaborative team environment Responsibilities Coordinate daily site operations, including field staff, contractors, trades, materials, equipment, and construction activities Participate in pre‑construction, project start‑up, and site meetings to support planning, scheduling, and execution Monitor project progress, schedule commitments, labour requirements, material needs, inspections, and site reporting Ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements Promote and enforce company health and safety programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Support cost control related to labour, equipment, materials, and overall site productivity Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to field teams, contractors, and trades Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, trades, and internal project teams Identify constructability issues, resolve site challenges, and implement practical solutions to maintain project progress Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge of current construction practices, drawings, blueprints, specifications, schedules, and budgets Proven ability to lead safe work practices while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget expectations Strong organizational, planning, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Knowledge of construction equipment and its capabilities Ability to identify root causes of issues and determine effective solutions Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with clients, trades, contractors, and project teams Working knowledge of Procore construction project management software, Microsoft Office, and related construction software Valid provincial driver’s licence required Work Experience 5 or more years of commercial construction experience as a Site Superintendent Full‑time Work Conditions Field‑based role on active construction sites Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions May require long hours, overtime, travel, and out‑of‑town assignments depending on project needs Requires coordination of multiple stakeholders in a deadline‑driven environment Eligibility Statement Eligibility to work in Canada is a requirement for this position.
