The successful candidate will perform tasks related to established systems or new projects of low to medium complexity. They will work with written instructions or general guidelines and participate in the testing of electronic units and complex systems.Location:Scarborough, ONJob Type:Contract with high possibility of extensionWorking Arrangement:Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days remoteResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical design using tools like CREO and Solid Edge.Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes.Implement corrosion mitigation.Perform mechanical and thermal simulations using industry standard tools such as ANSYS, CREO Advanced Simulation, Flotherm, and IcePak.Conduct vibration analysis including PSD plots.Write and link requirements using tools such as DOORS and Polarion.Work harmoniously in a team and maintain professionalism.Develop junior team members by providing assistance.Travel occasionally to customer sites, up to three times per year.Execute additional related tasks as required.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering or equivalent combination of diplomas and work experience.6-10 years of industry experience.Excellent knowledge of mechanical design with tools like CREO and Solid Edge.Proven knowledge of EMC control (cabling, grounding, gasketing, cable passthrough).Exceptional knowledge of mechanical material properties, including fatigue failure.Superior knowledge of ingress protection for enclosures and familiarity with IP and NEMA ratings.Familiarity with Validation and Verification testing, especially thermal and vibration testing.Professional verbal communication skills for clear, ambiguity-free dialogue.Strong written communication skills for clear documentation.Ability to follow directions and use good judgment.Ability to present pros and cons for various courses of action.Track progress on all assigned tasks.Verify that all assigned work has been completed accurately.Certification: PEO.#J-18808-Ljbffr
