Mill Maintenance Planner Atlantic Operations is a wholly owned subsidiary of St Barbara Limited, an ASX listed gold producer and explorer with mining assets in Canada and Australia. We are currently seeking a Mill Maintenance Planner. This role is a full time, max‑term position, reporting to the Mill Maintenance Superintendent and will be based at our Touquoy mine site located approximately 1-hour northeast of Halifax, near Middle Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia. The Opportunity Ensuring own Health & Safety as well as that of all other workers, identifying and maintaining safe work practices, and completing all required safety training. Foster a friendly environment that encourages creative ideas, promotes high morale, and encourages cooperation within the team. Ensuring the application of all relevant regulations, codes, and corporate/site standards to planning of electrical and mechanical maintenance work plans. Developing work plans and packages to safely execute planned work. Ensuring that supplies and parts are available on time for the work to be performed. Preparing, reviewing, and updating standard jobs based on continuous improvement processes for routine works. Preparing and compiling reports, charts, databases, and historical files on maintenance planning activities, materials availability, scheduling, and equipment status. Contributing to budget preparation and cost control. Coordinate work orders related to routine maintenance, including predictive and preventive activities, as well as corrective maintenance, by identifying and securing the requisite resources such as technicians, materials, spare parts, tools, instruments, and equipment. Furthermore, specify the estimated timeframes, safety protocols, procedures, and technical data. Oversee and manage the backlog effectively. Providing troubleshooting support and liaising with suppliers to facilitate timely services. Our successful candidate will demonstrate the following: Relevant trade certification from a recognized training institution (graduate certificate/diploma or degree) Unencumbered Class 5 driver's license Proactive with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Prepared to address complex problems and solutions within a team setting. Promptly responding to unforeseen mill shutdowns. Proficient in utilizing computers, including automated maintenance programs and Microsoft Office applications. Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation is desired Previous supervisory experience in electrical and mechanical aspects within the mining industry is desired.
