Job Description On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Project Manager based in Vancouver for a six‑month contract‑to‑hire. Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead finance system initiatives, ensuring technology projects are delivered successfully and that strong collaboration is maintained across technical and business teams. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager will manage timelines, coordinate resources, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end delivery of software development projects, system integrations, and/or implementations and ongoing support of financial systems, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate. Facilitate clear communication and collaboration among cross‑functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. Proactively identify, manage, and resolve project risks and issues to keep initiatives on track. Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and business requirements through thorough testing and validation. Prepare and present project status updates, dashboards, and key metrics to stakeholders and leadership. Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to enhance delivery processes. Support change management, business readiness, and post‑go‑live activities to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes. Requirements & Skills Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Business) or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing software development or technology‑focused projects. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid) and related tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, DevOps). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution abilities. Experience working with distributed teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Project management certifications preferred (PMP, PMI‑ACP, Scrum Master, etc.).
