As a Systems Engineer II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing advanced test solutions for our products. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to define system test requirements, design and develop test solutions, and ensure the successful integration of product with test solutions. You will report directly to our Test Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Mississauga, ON location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the success of our engineering teams by providing support in the development and implementation of advanced test systems. Your work will contribute to the overall performance and reliability of our products. You will be integral in creating system test solutions for electronic controllers that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will be involved in every aspect of the systems test life cycle, from the front end of business development through product end of life. The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance. Key Responsibilities Work in accordance with Test Engineering Procedures and Manuals Product requirements analysis Product Requirements decomposition for test Product and Test systems integration Test systems validation & verification Production support Internal customer interaction Budget/Schedule responsibility Support development testing of Electronics Controllers through developing, debugging and troubleshooting test setup. Using Aerospace standards and custom-made test equipment, perform validation testing Assemble electrical test setups from industry standard equipment to perform all required tests on development type units Investigate product non‑conformances and assist Design Engineers to identify root causes Work with other groups within Test Function to support the timely completion of assignments with focus in schedule fidelity, quality of work, and within budget and cost estimated through effective communication and cooperation Review test plans and/or instructions to determine support hardware requirements and identify potential problems prior to testing Document the test progress, test conditions, test incidents, test related activities, problems encountered and any resolutions Coordinate directly with test leads, project engineers, electrical engineers and other lab personnel to help achieve testing objectives Demonstrate initiatives and execution to drive test set/process continuous improvements. Support 5S initiatives Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic test hardware design Minimum of 2 years of experience with C programming language. Previous experience in programming & operatingcommon electronic test equipment for development tests such as oscilloscopes, DMM, data acquisition, etc WE VALUE Good Python programming language Test Equipment Experience with PXI/VXI/LXI modules Capability of following guidelines and ensuring efficiency on given project tasks Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize design of products, parts, systems or processes Clear and concise communications Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts Relevant experience in Test Engineering Advanced C programming skills Experience with LabVIEW and CVI is an asset An understanding of data structures to provide analytical problem solving A good understanding of pressure, flow and temperature measurement is an asset. Advanced theoretical knowledge of Electronic Circuits-Analog and Digital Test Hardware and Software design/automation experience Ability to adapt dictated by project changes Experience with communication protocols like A429, CANBus, RS485/422, and Ethernet and able to setup communication cards in computers. Ability to focus on important information and identify key details Hands‑on experience to develop breadboards, research grades circuit boards and repair SMD parts The annual base salary for this position starts at $90,000 - $100,000.
