Field Service Engineer – Automated Packaging Equipment Technical precision. Reliable support. You’ll work independently most of the time, but always with the backing of a supportive service and engineering team.In This Role Project Ownership & Technical LeadershipAct as technical owner for assigned customer projects, upgrades, integrations, or complex service scopesServe as the primary technical interface with customers during executionTranslate customer requirements into clear technical execution plans and acceptance criteriaLead system integration, line modifications, upgrades, and custom solutionsCoordinate across Engineering, PMO, Production Excellence, Service, Sales, and external partnersLead technical decision‑making within approved standards, scope, and governanceValidate final system performance against agreed requirements prior to customer acceptanceIdentify technical risks, scope changes, and improvement opportunitiesSupport change orders, scope adjustments, and aftermarket revenue contributionInstall, repair, and maintain complex automated packaging systems on‑siteField Service & Technical ExecutionPerform troubleshooting, repair, installation, commissioning, startup, audits, SAT, IOQ and optimization of packaging equipment at customer siteApply hands‑on mechanical, electrical, and software adjustments as required to achieve project outcomesSupport complex service interventions and escalations where project or system knowledge is criticalParticipate in FAT, pre‑shipment inspections, and machine testing as requiredTrain customers on operation, changeovers, and maintenance best practicesTechnical Support & EscalationProvide advanced remote technical support to Field Service Technicians and customersSupport Technical Support with diagnostics and structured root cause analysis (RCA)Review service reports and identify recurring or systemic technical issuesAct as a technical reference for complex machine configurations and integrated systemsService Engineering & Continuous ImprovementAnalyze field and project failures, wear patterns, and performance deviationsSupport creation and submission of NCRs, ECRs, and structured technical feedback to EngineeringPropose improvement opportunities related to serviceability, reliability, maintainability, and standardizationParticipate in RCA discussions with Engineering, PMO, and Production ExcellenceContribute to closing the loop between field experience and product evolutionDocumentation, Service Methods & SOP DevelopmentCreate, update, and improve Service Methods, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and inspection and service checklistsConvert project and field experience into clear, repeatable, technician‑usable documentationSupport development of internal and customer training materialsYou’ll Thrive In This Role If YouEnjoy solving hands‑on technical challenges under time constraintsPrefer structured environments with clear expectations and standardsAre accurate, conscientious, and take pride in a job done rightAppreciate variety in your work and new experiences through travelValue respectful leadership, private recognition, and teamwork built on trustAre calm, analytical, and think before you act—especially in high‑pressure situationsWhat You BringDegree or technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience)3–5 years of experience in service engineering, field service, system integration, or industrial equipment supportStrong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systemsExposure to automation and PLC environments is an assetAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematicsPackaging or pharmaceutical equipment experience is an assetValid driver’s license and passportWillingness to travel (domestic and international; up to ~60% depending on assignment)At BellatRx, we design and support cutting‑edge packaging equipment that helps our customers exceed their manufacturing goals.
