Your Responsibilities You’ll lead and develop the Accounting team, including AP, AR, and Payroll, fostering accountability and growth You’ll oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accurate reporting in accordance with Canadian GAAP You’ll review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules to maintain financial integrity You’ll manage high‑volume Accounts Payable across ERP systems including NetSuite and Yardi, while overseeing efficient Accounts Receivable processes You’ll act as business owner for the finance ERP, supporting system controls, reporting automation, and chart of accounts governance You’ll lead year‑end audit coordination and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and external auditors Skills and Qualifications 5 to 7 years of progressive general accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years leading teams CPA designation (or equivalent) and a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field Strong expertise in Canadian GAAP and knowledge of legislation related to Canadian charities Experience overseeing AP, AR, balance sheet management, and payroll review Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite or Yardi, and advanced Excel skills Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail Note from the Hiring Manager “We’re looking for someone who can step into a true controllership role, support and mentor the team, and bring structure and clarity to a busy, high‑impact environment.
