We are looking for a Director of Finance to join our Finance leadership team and help scale the next stage of Resolver's growth. This highly visible role oversees finance operations, accounting, compliance, controls, reporting, and strategic finance initiatives for a global, multi‑entity organization. Hybrid workspace: option to work at home, in the office, or a mix of both. ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & Internal Controls (50%) Measures of Success:Completeness and accuracy of financial books, clean audits, meeting month‑end reporting deadlines. Owns all operational finance functions (i.e. treasury, billing, collections, payroll, etc.) Owns statutory financial statement reporting alongside local and group audits Ensures that all global tax returns are completed and filed, including corporate and sales tax returns Contributes to and reviews information to be shared with internal and external users (Resolver Executives, Kroll Global Leadership Team, Kroll Board/Investors, etc.) Responsible for the overall design, implementation, and effectiveness of internal controls Owns cross‑functional collaboration by providing insight and recommendations on how to handle new processes and/or initiatives and how to troubleshoot existing issues Can foresee the impact of new processes and procedures on internal controls and actively takes action to mitigate risks Owns finance processes and drives ongoing process improvement and automation Assists the team in customer/vendor escalations Financial Accounting, Reporting and Analysis (20%) Measures of Success:Quality of commentary and variance analysis, timely submission of financial reporting packages, feedback from department leads, performance against financial targets, collaboration with FP&A Team on the delivery of forecasts and budgets. Owns month‑end close process Reviews financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual results, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards Reviews analysis and reconciliations by analysts and accounting to ensure that staff and costs are coded in the correct areas (Segment/Service Line/GM, non‑GM, etc.) Ensures financial system reconciliations are completed and accurate Assists in the preparation of monthly financial reporting with variance analysis and insight into performance and future impact Assists in the preparation of monthly numbers for departments and aids in the discussion of results as needed Supports FP&A function with setting budget targets and reforecasts, and keeps executives accountable Understands all areas of forecast and budget and recommends actions in response to business needs Identifies risks and recommends treatment Team Development and Building (20%) Oversees the Finance team in day‑to‑day operations, providing expertise, supervising team leads, and setting performance goals Motivates the team to exceed expectations Mentors and coaches the team in the achievement of key results Works with the team to advance their skills and progress in their careers Partners with Talent to proactively recruit high‑caliber employees and provides feedback to improve internal recruitment processes Strategic Direction (10%) Provides feedback and suggestions on service‑line direction, strategy, people, products, technology, markets and positioning Collaborates with executives and other stakeholders to develop new reporting and measures to help identify optimal product opportunities and narrow the focus in the market Develops team OKRs that accelerate business objectives Qualifications10+ years of relevant accounting experience and a CPA designation Experience leading finance teams within a SaaS, technology, or similarly complex business environment Experience with analyzing or implementing finance/accounting internal controls and processes Advanced Excel skills (modeling, V‑lookup, pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, etc.) is an asset Experience working with FinancialForce, Sage Intacct, and MS Dynamics (accounting software), Power BI, Salesforce (CRM), Concur (AP), and Xactly (Commissions) is an asset but not a deal‑breaker Bonus points if you have experience managing a team across time zones and have exposure to multi‑jurisdiction and/or multi‑entity environment BenefitsHealth and Wellness Benefits: 100% paid by us for health and dental from day one.
