The Opportunity We are seeking 1 qualified Core Logging Geologist to work with our Lalor Mine Geology team in the vibrant community of Snow Lake, MB. This is a term position until the end of December 2026. The schedule is 14 days on/14 days off. Camp accommodations are provided while on shift. Please note that this opportunity is NOT a fly‑in‑fly‑out position. Accountabilities Follow departmental safety program and maintain safety standards Geological logging and sampling of diamond drill core Liaising with Diamond drilling Contractor supervision Collect geological data for the purpose of ore interpretation and reserve and resource calculations. Communicate changes in ore interpretation to geology department. Carry out specific accountabilities as assigned by the Senior Mine Geologist. Frequent lifting up to 34 kg to waist is required Possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Sciences or Geological Engineering Geologist in Training (GIT) or Engineer in Training (EIT) Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Familiar with MineSight, Deswik, Leapfrog or AcQuire is an asset but not required Previous core logging and underground experience is an asset but not required Hudbay is dedicated to providing equitable employment opportunities and encourages applicants of all experience levels to apply.
