Your New Company Our client, an award‑winning, innovative architectural practice in Toronto with an excellent reputation, known for delivering high‑quality projects across multiple sectors, is currently looking to hire an Architectural Designer/Technologist to join their team. Your New Role As an Architectural Designer/Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting the design and technical delivery of architectural projects from concept through to construction. You will produce high-quality technical drawings in AutoCAD and develop 3D models and design studies in Rhino, helping to translate design ideas into clear, buildable solutions. Working closely with architects and project consultants, you will contribute to design development, coordinate project information, and support the preparation of presentations and documentation. Your work will help ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with project goals, codes, and standards. This position is an urgent hire so only candidates available immediately will be considered Key responsibilities include: Preparing architectural drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and detailed documentation using AutoCAD Developing 3D models and visualizations in Rhino to support design development Assisting with design presentations, diagrams, and renderings Coordinating drawings with consultants and integrating technical information Supporting project teams through design development and construction documentation phases Ensuring compliance with building codes, standards, and project requirements Maintaining organized and consistent project documentation What You Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you bring a strong mix of technical expertise, design capabilities, and attention to detail, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a project team. Must have qualifications include: A diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related field 2-4 years+ of professional experience, ideally with high-rise residential projects Proficiency in AutoCAD for technical drafting and documentation and Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D) for modeling and design exploration A solid understanding of construction drawings, detailing, and documentation workflows The ability to read and interpret architectural and consultant drawings Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy Effective communication and teamwork abilities Availability to start a new position immediately Bonus qualifications include: Experience with Revit, Grasshopper, or Adobe Creative Suite Knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements Familiarity with BIM processes or parametric design tools Experience producing renderings or visual presentations What You Will Get in Return The successful candidate will receive a competitive compensation package, including a salary commensurate with experience ($65-$85k) + bonus, 3 weeks' vacation (negotiable based on seniority) + personal days, a hybrid work environment, comprehensive benefits and a supportive, collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional growth.
