The job & tender board for Northern Canada Sahtu United is seeking a General Manager to serve as its senior operational leader. Reporting directly to the Chairperson of the Board, the General Manager is responsible for translating Board-approved direction into effective, safe, and compliant project delivery. The role provides oversight of operations, financial stewardship, workforce leadership, and relationships with joint venture partners and key stakeholders. The General Manager serves in a full-time leadership capacity with flexible hours throughout the year, increased involvement during peak field seasons, and periodic travel. This position is based in Norman Wells, NT. This role requires sound judgment, independence, and accountability while working closely with a governance-focused Board. Key Responsibilities Lead operational planning and execution of seasonal field‑based projects Oversee financial management within Board‑approved budgets and delegated authority Direct workforce, supervision, and performance management processes Coordinate with joint venture partners, contractors, and regulators Provide clear, timely reporting and strategic advice to the Chairperson and Board Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements Who We Are Looking For This role is well‑suited to an experienced professional seeking meaningful leadership work within a flexible and regionally focused operating environment.
