In the role of HR Advisor, you will be instrumental in supporting the workforce, promoting a positive workplace culture, and enhancing employee engagement. Responsibilities Oversee and lead recruitment efforts, working with department managers to assess their needs, creating job descriptions, developing compensation strategies, following the employee association guidelines, creating job postings, conduct interviews, sending offer letters, onboarding and orientation, etc. Lead recruitment efforts for senior roles, including job postings, candidate screening, and offer negotiations Work with management and leadership on employee association negotiations (if applicable), provide industry standards across multiple locations, pull other related agreements, and assess market conditions. Provide interpretation, advice, coach and assist management team in all aspects of HR including Labour Relations, hourly recruitment, onboarding, leave management, discipline, employee relations, offboarding, hourly compensation administration and compliance. Build trusting relationships with supervisors to ensure the effective delivery of HR programs and provide expertise to identify and address labour and employee relations items. Be accessible to employees and follow up on concerns and issues as they arise Provide support to the Managers in identifying and addressing employee relations issues and concerns. Conduct and oversee HR related investigations and provide recommendations and reports as needed. Administer policies and programs to ensure compliance that is consistent with our core values. Be active in the community, identifying activities to promote Caron in the community Be the main point of contact for Payroll-related questions, ensuring new employees are properly set up for payroll, terminated and laid off employees are properly removed/ suspended from payroll, and Attendance is accurate and approved to meet payroll deadlines Coordinate and accurately maintain all required HR, training and payroll records and employee documentation for employees. Collaborate in a team environment to promote positive relations with Union and Management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related Human Resources field. Membership in a professional association is an asset. 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, ideally from a construction and unionized environment. Strong understanding of principles of Human Resources and Labour Relations as well as legislative compliance requirements. Experience with Microsoft Office. Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment with a highly interactive team. Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills Ability to communicate clear and concise information in an accurate and informative manner. Strong prioritization and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to coach, facilitate, and resolve conflict Strong attention to detail. Salary*: $80,000 - $100,000 *The salary range complies with pay transparency requirements.
