Your Key Responsibilities Perform power system modelling and studies using PSS/E, PSLF, ASPEN. Types of studies include: Power flow, Transient (dynamic) analysis, Post‑transient analysis, Short circuit. Prepare scripts and programming to assist with the automation of the simulations, compilation of results, and analysis. Prepare study reports, identifying assumptions, methodology, analysis, and results. Participate in meetings with the client to initially kick off the project, review project progress, and present results and recommendations. Your Capabilities and Credentials Understanding of electrical power system and power electronics theory. Proficiency in Python programming. Experience with PSS/E required, experience with PSLF preferred. Experience with other power system simulation tools would be considered an asset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively explain and discuss solutions with clients. Self‑motivated and able to collaborate with a group of professional engineers. Education and Experience Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; Masters or Ph.D. degree preferred. Industry experience in transmission planning studies is preferred. Pay Range: Locations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC & Various locations in Ontario: $74,400.00 - $107,900.00 annually. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
