About the Role We are seeking a high-performing Business Development leader to build and convert a $1M+ qualified sales pipeline within the first six months. This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role with a strong emphasis on enterprise client acquisition, pipeline creation, and deal closure. The successful candidate will work closely with the Founder and leadership team to scale the business to $3M in revenue within a year. Responsibilities Build and manage a $1M qualified sales pipeline within the first six months Generate leads through direct outreach, professional networks, referrals, and industry events Establish and execute a structured pipeline development strategy Engage senior stakeholders including CIOs, CDOs, and Heads of Data and AI Position and sell AI and data transformation services, moving beyond staff augmentation to solution‑based engagements Drive deal sizes in the range of $100K to $500K+ Client Acquisition Close 2–4 anchor clients within 6–9 months Own the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, qualification, solutioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closure Go‑To‑Market and Positioning Collaborate with leadership to refine value propositions across AI‑ready data, governance, and transformation offerings Contribute to development of sales collateral, proposals, and pitch materials Provide input into pricing and commercial strategy Partnerships and Ecosystem Development Build and manage relationships within key cloud and partner ecosystems, including Microsoft and Amazon Web Services Identify and develop partnerships with complementary consulting firms to expand market reach Ideal Candidate Profile 6–12 years of experience in business development or sales within IT consulting, data, AI, or related domains Demonstrated track record of closing $500K–$2M+ in annual deals Established network within Canadian enterprise accounts, particularly in banking, pharmaceuticals, retail, education, or public sector Results‑oriented with a strong ownership mindset Self‑driven and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment Strategic thinker with the ability to execute at a tactical level Success Metrics (First Six Months) Build a qualified pipeline of $1M+ Conduct 20–30 senior‑level client meetings Deliver 5+ high‑quality proposals Compensation Target based commission Why Join Opportunity to play a foundational role in scaling a high‑growth consulting firm Direct access to leadership and decision‑making High degree of ownership and autonomy Clear path to building and leading the business development function #J-18808-Ljbffr
