We collaborate internally with Design, Product Development, Finance, Raw Materials, Quality, Planning, and Sustainability, and externally with vendor partners to execute our sustainability‑focused global sourcing strategy. Department : Supply ChainReports to : VP, SourcingLocation : North Vancouver – Dollarton Highway, North Vancouver, BC V7H 1A8 Your Core Responsibilities Lead, guide, and mentor a high‑performing sourcing team, fostering core competencies and a world‑class supply chain. Drive cross‑functional initiatives to achieve organizational objectives and the long‑term strategic plan. Develop and implement our global sourcing strategy, ensuring manufacturing capacity and capabilities align with business growth and deliver on cost, quality, and speed to market. Lead the team to achieve medium and long‑term financial and operating objectives set by strategy and business plans. Foster a culture of growth and development across the sourcing organization and hold leaders and managers accountable to their goals. Own and enhance supplier relationships through direct engagement, collaboration, and partnership. Lead seasonal planning and commercialization: allocation strategy, seasonal development to buy ready, and end‑to‑end costing. Build a transparent costing methodology that meets margin targets. Manage the supplier network with a balance of country, capacity, and capability to maximize value and reduce long‑term risk. Lead the search strategy for new suppliers, applying robust sourcing criteria, evaluation, and qualification frameworks. Design a comprehensive onboarding program for new suppliers to ensure successful integration. Negotiate, manage, and safeguard terms and conditions of supplier agreements. Maintain a supplier scorecard that tracks performance in product innovation, development, lead time, costs, compliance, sustainability, and partnership. Partner with Advanced Concepts and Inline Design teams to ensure the right capabilities and business plans for product concept and innovation. Collaborate cross‑functionally as a key member of the product leadership team. Uphold the Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct through the Arc’teryx supply chain. Work closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training. Advance responsible purchasing principles through adherence to negotiated lead time and balanced annual capacities. Future Projects Develop a robust network assessment tool guaranteeing long‑term availability of quality product. Build best‑in‑class supply chain processes to enhance go‑to‑market efficiency. Promote continuous improvement to optimize the product engine. Propose and develop long‑term strategies for building a world‑class supply chain. Create a talent pipeline and career development opportunities that inspire and challenge the team. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel or Textile Design, Supply Chain, Business, Merchandising, or Engineering, plus 10+ years of leadership experience in sourcing and supply chain. Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics. Understanding of the end‑to‑end apparel go‑to‑market process. Proven problem‑solving, design interpretation, and product innovation skills. Track record of performance with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers. Strong communication and influencing skills. Business acumen and analytical skills. Digital dexterity and ability to adapt to new technologies and leverage data. Extreme attention to detail. Extensive knowledge of raw materials, technical construction, and sourcing. Proven people‑management skills; ability to set clear vision, align the team, and foster commitment. High flexibility and adaptability when faced with ambiguity.
