The Department of Family Medicine delivers the largest postgraduate residency program in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen's University through a distributed education model with its primary site at Kingston and the Thousand Islands and satellite offices in Belleville, Peterborough, and Oshawa. It is home to the Centre for Studies in Primary Care. It operates the Queen's Faculty Health Team located in Kingston and Belleville, an inter-professional health care centre servicing the Kingston and Belleville communities. Reporting to the Research Manager and receiving direction from the Department of Family Medicine (DFM) Research Director, Quality Improvement (QI) Lead, and Principal Investigators, the Resident Research Associate supports the delivery of Family Medicine resident Quality Improvement (QI) and Research curricula and contributes to Centre for Studies in Primary Care (CSPC) research initiatives. The role includes supporting residents in completing their QI and research projects, coordinating the annual Primary Care Research Day (PCRD) conference, and organizing resident research teaching sessions. The Resident Research Associate also supports faculty research by contributing to grant applications, developing study protocols, and supporting ongoing projects, including data collection, analysis, and knowledge translation.
