Reporting directly to the Director, you will play a key role in winning work and setting our projects up for success from day one. What you will be responsible for: - Reviewing project scopes and developing estimating strategies for assigned projects - Preparing detailed, accurate construction cost estimates and supporting documentation - Comfortable managing multiple bids at once - Ensuring all bid submissions are complete and accurate as per plans and specifications, including notations of special or long-lead items - Coordinating site visits and follow-up meetings to support the bid process - Collaborating with Project Managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project scope and budget - Identifying potential risks during the estimating process and recommending mitigation strategies - Analyzing project requirements and suggesting cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality - Preparing cost analysis reports, bid summaries, and documentation for management review - Staying current on market trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain competitive estimates - Updating vendor and subcontractor pricing at least quarterly - Reviewing and approving Letters of Intent, award documents, and contracts What we are looking for: - Experience in construction estimating within a commercial or general contracting environment - Confident in the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously - Proficiency in Procore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, SAGE CM, and Excel — Grade Beam experience is an asset - Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications with a high degree of accuracy - Strong understanding of construction processes, material costs, and subcontractor scopes and building codes - Excellent organizational and communication skills - Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Compensation and Benefits: - Competitive salary - Benefits after 3-month probation period - Full-time, in-person position based in Langley, BC At ICE Group, your work directly shapes what we build and how we grow.
