ALT Sports Data (ASD) is building the operating system for emerging and alternative sports. We hold exclusive data rights across leagues in motorsports, combat sports, action sports, and team sports, with tier‑one properties like Formula 1 anchoring a portfolio of the fastest‑growing leagues globally. Our proprietary platform captures and structures live event data into real‑time products distributed to sportsbooks, daily fantasy platforms, and media, amplifying reach and unlocking new revenue streams for our league partners. We are seeking a Vice President of Finance to build and lead the financial engine that supports this growth. The Role This is a senior executive role reporting directly to the CEO (based in Toronto). The VP of Finance will serve as the company’s strategic and operational financial leader. You will own capital planning, financial strategy, forecasting, reporting, and operational discipline across the organization. You will build institutional‑grade finance infrastructure while enabling speed, innovation, and disciplined growth. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who has scaled a venture‑backed company and wants to do it again at a pivotal stage. Key Responsibilities Strategic Finance and Capital Leadership Partner with the CEO on long‑term financial strategy and capital allocation Lead multi‑year financial modeling including ARR growth, margin expansion, cash flow planning Support current and future fundraising efforts and investor communications Prepare board‑level reporting and performance insights Own and maintain the company cap table, including option pool tracking Evaluate pricing, strategic transactions, partnerships, and M&A opportunities Revenue and Business Model Architecture Design financial frameworks for SaaS licensing, data rights agreements, and revenue‑share Drive visibility into unit economics across leagues, operators, and product lines Establish scalable revenue recognition processes aligned with ASC 606 Improve gross margin transparency and contribution analysis Financial Infrastructure and Controls Build scalable reporting systems and internal controls Oversee accounting, audit, tax, and regulatory compliance Implement institutional‑grade financial processes and cadence Ensure financial readiness for international expansion and regulatory complexity Operational Finance Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting Develop KPI dashboards tied to revenue growth, margin, capital efficiency, and monetization Establish company‑wide budgeting accountability Optimize cashflow and capital allocation discipline Team and Leadership Build and scale the finance function over time Manage external accounting, audit, banking, and legal relationships Embed financial rigor across product, sales, engineering, and operations Serve as a key leader as the company transitions from early stage to scaled growth What We Are Looking For Core Experience and Skillsets 10 to 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience Experience in a high‑growth venture‑backed company, ideally Series A onwards Proven track record building finance infrastructure from early stage through scale Deep financial modeling and FP&A expertise Experience working directly with Founders and Boards Strong understanding of SaaS, data licensing, and recurring revenue models Personal Attributes Builder mindset - thrives in scaling environments Strategic but hands‑on High integrity and strong operator instincts Strong communicator and able to translate complex financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders Highly Preferred Experience in sports betting, gaming, data, fintech, and/ or other regulated industries Experience with revenue‑share or marketplace economics Fundraising or capital markets leadership exposure CPA, CFA, or similar credentials are a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
