Why Work Here Join a recognized leader in the Canadian food manufacturing industry Take on a unique role that blends commercial finance, operations support, and business performance insights Benefit from a strong compensation package paired with comprehensive benefits Operations Reporting Identify opportunities to improve/expand plant reporting to enable better business decisions Provide analysis and commentary to financial results Support the month end financial statement close process Identify and develop tools/reports to assist plant supervision in the management of their business units Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations including those relating to prepaid expenses and AP accruals, and support payroll functions in Kronos with payroll supervision Prepare ad hoc analysis as required by the Controller III, Sales, Plant Manager, Business Performance, and other departments Actively participate in daily, weekly, monthly CI meetings providing insights on results and identifying areas of focus Support in identifying areas of continuous improvement and cost reduction through a shop floor presence Business Case Modelling Provide analysis to support plant decisions and finance (crewing patterns, capital acquisitions, return on investment, OH analysis, etc.) System Support / Integration Provide recommendations for streamlining existing processes and system to help generate synergies between locations Support testing and implementation of system improvements/changes Team Leadership Ensure that the Accounting Staff have sufficient financial and support in automation and process improvements Identify and implement development opportunities for staff About You CPA designation (Canadian or internationally recognized equivalent) 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility Manufacturing industry experience: food manufacturing experience preferred Supervisory or team lead experience in an accounting or finance environment Strong cost accounting expertise, including standard costing and/or activity based costing (ABC) Salary Range $115,000 - $129,000/year #J-18808-Ljbffr
