SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.Understand better who we are by visiting This role will be supporting the Risk team on various projects.Missions/Main DutiesAssist with the implementation and management of risk management services per the mission and goals of projects and programs from inception through to completionEnsure that work is fully supported from a consulting standpoint in an integrated, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective mannerFinalize the budget and operating or delivery plan for the risk management services in consultation with the project or program team and clientProvide the final review and approval of the completed material planning to successfully deliver risk management servicesReview changes and interventions to ensure risk management service goals are achieved on the project or programFacilitate various project focus or function meetings with a spotlight on service initiativesSet and interpret service expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team membersBuild and maintain a positive, high-performing team culture with an openness to constructive challenge, continuous improvement, implementation of lessons learned, and an overall ‘right-first-time’ mindsetReinforce acceptable standards of workmanship through every stage of the projectSupervise and guide clear and focused staff performance objectives (including noncompany resources) to ensure excellence in resultsPromote a project environment that is inclusive, and diverse and celebrates our differencesClarify internal quality control check and resolve quality issues for the projectPrepare procedures and work instructions and ensure that all program team membersComply with the risk management plan, procedures, and requirements of the assigned scope of workDevelop risk breakdown structure aligned with project WBS and CBSPrepare risk training materials and train the project team on the principles of riskEvaluate risk registers at the project and program level, ensuring quality standards are metPerform quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis using Risk Management software (e.g. Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Risk, etc.) and provide the interpretation of results (e.g. Distribution S Curve Graph, Sensitivity Analysis Tornado Chart and Deep Dive Schedule Logic)Follow up with risk owners to ensure the mitigation actions are on track, including escalation where requiredReview contractor progress reports and identify the risks impacting project cost and schedule and reflect them in the risk registerWork closely with scheduling to prepare a high-level schedule (or assess detailed schedules) to be used for quantitative schedule risk analysis and define the link between risks, duration uncertainties, and schedule activitiesLiaise with cost to monitor project contingency utilization and alignment with cost risk exposuresProfile/SkillsMinimum of 8 years of experience in Risk ManagementBachelor’s degree in a relevant fieldHolding recognized certifications including Risk Management Professional (RMP) and Project Management Professional (PMP) or eligibleExperience of effective risk leadership on complex construction projects.Comprehensive knowledge of risk tools, techniques, and softwareSYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
