Overview Regional Flexibility Engineering is looking for a software engineer passionate about service‑oriented architectures who wants to support Amazon’s businesses to innovate quickly at scale. The role focuses on designing and building highly distributed systems that scale.Key ResponsibilitiesSolve algorithmically complex problems and work on front‑end / back‑end services that scale, delighting thousands of Amazon engineers.Design and build for Amazon’s scale across all of Amazon Stores, Digital and Others (SDO) businesses.Work with AWS technologies and advise SDO teams on setting up required infrastructure.Influence product design and choose highly scalable, available technology to solve complex problems.Collaborate with a large and experienced Principal Engineering community across cross‑cutting teams and technologies.Create and evolve abstractions that make developing software at Amazon flexible.Basic Qualifications3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.Experience programming with at least one software programming language.Preferred Qualifications3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this position is 114,800.00 – 191,800.00 CAD annually. Amazon’s total compensation may include other elements such as sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
